The popular short video platform TikTok has permanently blocked the account of Young C, a Nigerian who challenged people to a controversial 24-hour live burial challenge.

After his act was widely criticised, Young C’s profile is no longer viewable on the platform. The challenge, which received a lot of attention online, was compared to an earlier achievement by American YouTuber MrBeast (Jimmy Donaldson), who, in an effort to spread awareness about deforestation, spent 50 hours buried alive two years ago.

When Young C said on Wednesday that he intended to be buried alive in a coffin for a full day, it caused a stir. But then, he sent a message on Instagram to comfort his fans, saying, “Guys, I am still alive, I am still fine, I am okay.”

Even though he ran out of water in the process, he was still committed to finishing the task.

Young C talked about feeling physically uncomfortable—including perspiring excessively—after being buried for more than eight hours in a prior video.

Despite the difficulties, he persisted in recording his story from within the casket using his remaining light and camera. Why Young C’s account was banned by TikTok TikTok swiftly responded to the outrage over the burial stunt by deleting the performer’s profile and cited transgressions of the community norms on the platform.

The platform’s strict regulations, which are designed to prohibit anything that might endanger people’s safety and well-being, served as the basis for the decision to suspend Young Cent’s account.

Revenue Generation Young Cent responded to the punishment by posting a video on his newly formed TikTok account, which he opened immediately after the contentious challenge ended.

In order to keep his followers updated on his activities, he invited them to subscribe to his new channel, @youngcententertainment2. I’ve created a new TikTok profile with the handle “@youngcententertainment2” as it appears that my old one has been deleted.

I want everyone to get in touch with me over there. In order to begin giving live updates and keeping you all informed, let’s strive for 1000 followers, he said.
