The Nigerian government has announced an increase in passport fees, effective from September 1, 2024.
This decision is part of efforts to uphold the quality and security of the Nigerian passport.
The new pricing structure sees the cost of a 32-page passport booklet, valid for five years, rise from ₦35,000 to ₦50,000.
Similarly, the 64-page booklet, which has a 10-year validity, will now cost ₦100,000, up from the previous ₦70,000.
The fee adjustment does not apply to Nigerians living abroad, as their charges remain unchanged.
