The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna has dismissed rumors of an impending suspension of Nasir el-Rufai, the former governor of the state.
Speculations arose following el-Rufai’s recent activities, including visits to suspended senator Abdul Ningi and the headquarters of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Abuja.
Salisu Wusono, spokesperson for APC in Kaduna, clarified that there is no plan for such action.
The visits sparked debates on social media, with some suggesting political maneuvers by el-Rufai.
However, Shehu Gabam, national chair of the SDP, emphasized that el-Rufai’s visit should not be misconstrued, citing a long-standing relationship predating 1999.
Gabam noted that politicians from various parties have visited the SDP office, urging against overinterpretation of political gestures.
