The Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has encouraged Nigerians to disregard the activities of Yoruba Nation agitators, labeling them as mere attention seekers who do not represent the interests of the Yoruba people.
During a meeting with members of the Yoruba Council Worldwide in Lagos, the monarch emphasized the importance of not granting attention to these agitators, as it only serves to validate their actions.
He praised the efforts of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and urged citizens to support the government’s initiatives.
He said:
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is doing very well; he is doing exceptionally well by trying to fix the economy. We should give him the benefit of the doubt and also engage people; talk to others about success recorded by the government in power.
“For us we will continue to uphold and support the government, to support the president to ensure everything he does is to our advantage, not as a race, but to our advantage as a nation, irrespective of where you come from in Yoruba land or anywhere.”
