A former welfare secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos, Alhaja Ramota Bankole is dead.
The prominent women leader from Epe Division, died during the Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia.
Mr. Seye Oladejo, the party’s Publicity Secretary in Lagos State, described her death as shocking, describing her dedication and leadership within the party.
“Her demise is a profound loss. She was not only a committed party stalwart but also a beacon for women’s involvement in politics. May her soul rest in peace,” Oladejo expressed.
Ms. Surah Animashaun, Chairperson of Epe Local Government, confirmed Bankole’s passing and conveyed heartfelt condolences to her family, APC members, and the community of Epe.
“We mourn her passing in the holy city of Mecca, where she met her end during the sacred Hajj pilgrimage,” Animashaun stated.
