“We made a quick stop at the local market square after the meeting to buy some beef barbecue (suya) on our way to Ekpoma to meet other PDP members, and it was there that we heard that some hoodlums in a bus came to the Illeh venue of the meeting and destroyed the canopy while shooting sporadically.”

“We were still at the suya joint when the said white vehicle stopped by our campaign vehicle, and the hoodlums came down firing shots and destroyed the vehicle,” he told reporters.

Otoide stated that they all rushed for safety and reported the incident to the Ekpoma police division, and that the police went to grab the truck and return it to their station.
