Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has said that the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Martins Amaewhule, cannot deny his effort to reach him.
This was as the governor warned that no power is permanent, as political tension continues to grip the state.
Governor Fubara, speaking during the commissioning of the Bori Zonal Hospital in Khana Local Government Area, reaffirmed his commitment to prioritizing the interests of the people amid the ongoing crisis involving the Rivers State House of Assembly.
Fubara reminded politicians that no power lasts forever, saying that what truly matters is how power is exercised.
He warned that the misuse of power ultimately leads to destruction and reaffirmed his decision to act with restraint, acknowledging that there is life beyond political office.
He encouraged his supporters, particularly the youths, to remain steadfast, assuring them that they had not lost the battle.
