Nigerian troops have announced a huge success in operation lafiyan jama’a ensuring peace in part of Kaduna and Plateau state.
In an announcement by the operation headquarter in Jos, the military said they’ve successfully killed two bandits and rescued scores of kidnapped victims.
“On 12 March 2025, troops conducted offensive operations as part of the ongoing Operation LAFIYAN JAMA’A to clear criminal elements hibernating around Kuru and Turu in Jos South local government area (LGA) of Plateau State.
“During the operation, troops made contact with kidnappers/terrorists close to the high grounds in Kuru and neutralised 2 of the criminals who were in possession of 18 rounds of 7.62 mm (Special) and 9 rounds of 5.56 x 45 mm ammunition.”
