In the early hours of Thursday, the Guduwa community in Phase 4, located within the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) of the Federal Capital Territory, was severely impacted by a security breach, Daily Sun reports.
A group of around 20 armed men reportedly launched a coordinated attack, moving from house to house and robbing residents of their possessions.
The assailants, who struck around 2 a.m., systematically broke into homes, stealing valuables and inflicting injuries on several individuals, including a private security guard who later succumbed to his wounds.
The entire operation, which lasted approximately 40 minutes, left the community in distress.

Residents noted that the attackers divided themselves into smaller groups to efficiently cover more ground.
Each group appeared to have a lookout, signaling others to flee when police intervention became apparent.
Gunfire was exchanged between the robbers and the police, with the latter eventually gaining the upper hand, restoring order to the area.
This incident is not the first of its kind in the Guduwa community.
Four years prior, a similar attack occurred, and just five months ago, a resident was abducted.
Despite efforts by residents to work alongside the local police in Nyanya to bolster security, these measures have not completely deterred criminal activities in the area.
Authorities managed to recover stolen items, including a vehicle, a laptop, and a plasma television.
Security personnel have urged the community to continue cooperating with law enforcement agencies to enhance the overall safety of the area.
