Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun has expressed his condolences following the death of Barrister Olaniyi Ijalaye, the Resident Electoral Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the state.
Ijalaye passed away on Monday evening in Abuja after a meeting at the INEC headquarters.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Lekan Adeniran, Governor Abiodun conveyed his sadness over Ijalaye’s unexpected passing.
He lauded Ijalaye as a dedicated and principled public servant, known for his humility, patriotism, and unwavering commitment to his duties.
The governor extended his sympathies to Ijalaye’s family, friends, and INEC, highlighting the significant loss felt by all.

He acknowledged Ijalaye’s exemplary service and expressed hope that his legacy of integrity and diligence will endure, while offering prayers for strength and solace to those affected by his loss.
