On Friday, the Nigeria Police Force disclosed that Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has been called to their headquarters to address accusations related to criminal defamation, cyberbullying, forgery, and other charges.
The summons was issued by the Inspector-General of Police, with the IGP Monitoring Unit handling the investigation.
According to ACP Muyiwa Adejobi, the Force’s Public Relations Officer, the formal request, dated August 5, 2024, and signed by DCP A.A. Elleman, reveals that Dikeh is a public figure in the case under investigation.
The notification outlined that the case involves allegations of criminal defamation, forgery, falsehood, cyberbullying, and criminal conversion, with Dikeh being a notable person of interest.

She was invited for an interview on August 7, 2024, to provide details regarding these claims.
ACP Adejobi further explained that Dikeh’s invitation was in response to a petition against her.
She has been released after her questioning, and the investigation is ongoing.
